Bloodless Gadhimai

The Gadhimai festival had seen tens of thousands of animals sacrificed. The task was to shift a deeply rooted ritual toward compassion without attacking faith.

We wrote the lines “Nariwal pashubali ko hal” (the coconut as a peaceful offering) and “Pashubali kasko lagi?” (sacrifice for whom?), paired with an image of the goddess gently touching a buffalo. The campaign ran with Humane Society International and Sneha’s Care.
